Party of Communists USA (PCUSA) resolutely stands with the people of Venezuela in its call for “No War” between the US and Venezuela.
Since September of 2025, US President Donald Trump and his Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth have been carrying out unprovoked strikes on private Venezuelan boats in the Caribbean under the guise of combating drug smugglers. These false pretenses have yet to be proved as fact.
These strikes, which have led to the extrajudicial murders of 104 individuals and illegally confiscated Venezuelan oil and ships amounts to nothing more than piracy and US imperialism.
The United States has deployed 15,000 military personnel, 11 battleships, and other military resources to the Caribbean as a blockade against Venezuela. On Monday, Trump stated that it would be “smart” for Nicolas Maduro to step down as President of Venezuela.
Trump himself admitted that the aim of the military operation is to steal Venezuelan oil resources. Trump’s Chief of Staff for Policy, Stephen Miller, has gone so far as to claim that Venezuela’s nationalization of its oil resources is theft against the United States.
The PCUSA appeals to the American people to stand up against the bullying tactics of the Trump regime and to support the sovereignty of the Venezuelan people. The PCUSA instead calls for the US to focus on rebuilding American infrastructure, creating good paying union jobs, and lowering the cost of living for the American working class.
